Community Programs: Guided Rides

What are Guided Rides?
group biking downtownGuided Rides are a series of bike rides around the Columbia area that are led by trained bike experts. The rides vary in length and destination. Some are geared specifically for families, some are longer country rides. Past rides have included a Mother’s Day Weekend 7 mile Ride, a Shopping Center Ride to area businesses, the Catfish Corner 30 mile Road Ride, and the Stephen’s Lake Park Family Ride on the path around the lake.
Who can participate?
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t ridden a bike in years, how fast or slow you are, or what bike skills you have, there is a ride for you.
What are the benefits?
Each ride is led by trained bike experts who know the route. No one gets left behind and everyone gets the support they need to finish the ride.
How can I get involved?
Registration is necessary for some events, but not all. Check out the calendar for the next Guided Ride. Helmets are mandatory.

Don’t have a bike? No problem. Free bike rental is available for some rides. For more information or to reserve a bike, contact us or call Gina at (573) 303-1033. Be sure to reserve your bike at least two days prior to the ride.
