Comments from
WTGTW participants:
These seminars were wonderful. I think above all it was a chance to get my head back into the cycling world. I probably got more confidence than I did anything else. It is really reassuring to know that there are a whole slew of people that have already gone through what I am going through.
— William Froeschner
Everyone who I talked to at Getabout Columba/PedNet was exceptionally nice and very enthusiastic about helping with anything bike-related.
– Colleen Hollestelle
The classes are great. I took Confident City Cycling and now I'm commuting 3 times a week.
— Caryn Scoville
GetAbout Columbia Ride the Drive
GetAbout Columbia By Bike guided rides toured GetAbout Columbia infrastructure projects around town on each Thursday in September. Weekly rides were led by experienced, on-street riders.
All GetAbout Columbia By Bike guided ride participants received free commuting gear like pedometers, canvas bags, bike light sets and reflective leg/arm bands.
Way To Go To Work Pledge Card
Whether it was walking or biking to work once or several times a week, participants were able to set a personal goal and use a Way To Go card as a reminder. Way To Go cards also served as registration in a drawing for a commuter bag, perfect for walkers or bicyclists.
