Public Input Sessions on Proposed Changes to Columbia Transit

Words: CoMo Connect in red, yellow and black. Words: A Columbia Transit Community ProjectColumbia Transit planners have proposed major changes to our current bus system. Tentatively named “CoMo Connect,” the plan will revamp bus routes, switching from a “hub and spoke” model with transfers only at Wabash Station, to a city-wide “network” model with 35 transfer points along the routes.

The public is invited to input sessions on the proposed changes. Meetings will be held in each of the six wards as outlined below:

Ward 3: Sat Oct 12, 10am-12pm @ Benton Elementary School, 1410 Hinkson Avenue
Ward 5: Thurs Oct 17, 6-8pm, @ First State Community Bank, 300 Diego Drive
Ward 4: Thurs Oct 24, 6-8pm, @ location TBD
Ward 6: Thurs Nov 7, 5:30-7:30pm @ City Hall, 701 East Broadway, Conference Room 1A
Ward 1: Thurs Nov 14, 6-8pm @ The ARC, 1701 West Ash
Ward 2: Thurs Nov 21, 6-8pm @ location TBD

CoMET encourages you to be engaged in this important planning process by attending a meeting. Opportunities to complete a survey about the plan will also be made available, both at the public meetings and online. If the meeting for your ward does not fit with your schedule, consider attending one or more meetings in another ward.
