Daniel the Intern Talks About Ronald McDonald Red Shoe Ride

Red Shoe Ride LogoThe Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri “Red Shoe Ride” will be underway October 4, 2014 at Shakespeare’s Pizza South. This is a marvelous way to support such a fantastic cause with bicycles, pizza, beer, and live music (it doesn’t get any better than that). Let’s get started by briefly explaining the Ronald McDonald House’s “Home away from Home” mission.

For McDonald’s, its not always about the McDoubles and the McChickens. They have a charitable side as well, in which they house families of sick children. Imagine if a child becomes ill and needs to be in the hospital for an extended period of time, where does the family stay? The Ronald McDonald House has found a solution.

Families do not need to worry about anything else while one of their very own is sick in a hospital. The Ronald McDonald House is built on this simple idea; providing meals, private bedrooms, and playrooms for families at little to no cost.

With all of this being said, why not donate to such an admirable cause. Funds raised from the Red Shoe Ride will go directly toward services provided by the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri.

The Red Shoe Ride will start and finish at Shakespeare’s Pizza South. There are three distance rides (100 miles, 60 miles, and 35 miles) for the daring, not so daring, and beginners out there. So come on out and help support the people who need it by doing what we all love most, eating Shakespeare’s and riding our bikes.
