- Ron Bentch
- Project Coordinator
- Missourians for Responsible Transportation
Ron joined the PedNet team in May 2018 as the Project Coordinator for Missourians for Responsible Transportation, a new collaborative effort led by PedNet and three other Missouri transportation advocacy organizations. In this position he travels the state, meeting with community leaders and organizations who want to increase active transportation options for all Missourians.
Ron’s leadership and project development skills were honed by his experiences living and working in multiple communities. In South Africa, he led diverse teams in community development and sustainability projects. In Amsterdam, he witnessed the city shift from primarily car-based to a thriving bicycle culture. In Missouri, he lives in a rural Mennonite community where religious conviction dictates people ride bicycles and utilize horse-drawn buggies for transportation. Ron was drawn to the mission of PedNet and Missourians for Responsible Transportation due to his own personal love of cycling and his first-hand knowledge of the positive impact it can have on individuals and communities.
Talk to Ron about any of his favorite topics: serving as a missionary, fly fishing, or biocontamination.
